Hospice receives £1,000 bingo donation

Bingo brings £1,000 for hospice

We’ve always known that bingo players have a generous, charitable side, and now a social club in East Anglia has managed to prove it!

The Norwich Evening News has reported that a year’s worth of bingo games and raffles has helped Mulbarton Social Club donate £1,000 to staff and residents of Quidenham Hospice. However, the club is not going to stop there, as its fortnightly sessions will continue in the hope of raising even more.

Speaking to the paper on behalf of the charitable social club, Jenny Kirby thanked local businesses for their raffle prize donations. She said: “Without them we could never have raised so much money for these good causes.”

Mulbarton Social Club will next be inviting players to get their dabbers out on May 1st, and games will continue every two weeks until the end of the year.

Bucky gives back

Bucky Bingo players will know all about the close ties between Bucky and the brilliant Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity. But they might not know about the work we’ve been doing on Facebook to help raise funds for the group.

For every member who ‘Likes’ our Facebook page, we donate £1 to Breakthrough. So far we’ve managed to raise over £1,400, but we won’t stop until we reach £5,000, so spread the word among your friends today!
