The Rummikub
The game “Rummikub” is a tile based game which can be played with two to four players. The other names for this Rummikub are Rummy Tile, Rummycube, Rummy-o and Rummyking. The game was invented in “Israel”.
The Game pieces
The main component of Rummikub is a pool of 106 tiles, which contains two joker tiles and 104 number tiles. The number tiles values ranges from 1 to 13 and in four different colors (red, blue, yellow, and black). Every possible combination of the number and color is signified twice in the game. Each player has a store tiles rake without the knowledge of the other players.
The game can also be played using 2 deck (a deck contains 52 standard cards), and two from four of the jokers. Each card has its own face value where as the counting of Ace is 1, king is 13, queen is 12 and jack is 11. Since the space in the playing table is limited, it’s prudent to use the smaller cards.
Game Setup
Tiles are placed for selection either in a bag or the entire tiles lot is positioned faced up on the table. Each player of the game picks up one tile and thus they determine the first player for the game. The player who has picked up the highest number begins the play and the play proceeds in the clockwise direction. Once the players determine the order of the play, each player gather 14 random tiles and the players arranges them on their racks.
