I can just see the withering look my mother-in-law would give me when, if at the the dining table tomorrow with heads bowed, I said, “and thank you Lord, for giving me poker.” But I am thankful for all the wonderful things that have come into my life by following this love that I have had for the game since I was a kid and sat on my grandfather’s lap to watch him play. It is a game that is intellectually challenging, financially rewarding (at times), and has led me to meet some of the most interesting people in my life.

I first got interested in poker when I was five or six and my mom’s extended family would get together at the holidays.
